Bissen to hold event in Haiku

On the Campaign Trail

Maui County mayoral candidate Richard Bissen will hold a meet-and-greet event at the Haiku Community Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Bissen will discuss his “kama’aina prosperity” platform that includes “kama’aina housing, good-paying kama’aina jobs, kama’aina environmental resiliency, collective kuleana and pono politics,” according to an announcement from Bissen’s campaign. He will also be available for direct questions and answers.

The free event will include live entertainment, food (while supplies last) and door prizes. Leaders in the community will also speak about why they support Bissen. More information about Bissen’s platform and an area to register to vote will also be provided.

Walk-ins are welcome, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged, as space is limited. To pre-register, visit bissen.nationbuilder.com/haiku_community_center.
