Dislodged by large waves, chunks of the seawall fronting the Lauloa in Maalaea rest on the grass Sunday morning. A high surf warning for south-facing shores has been extended through 6 a.m. today as a large south swell continues to bring large waves that could reach as high as 12 to 16 feet, the National Weather Service said. Over the weekend, high surf from the swell swept across beaches and flooded coastal roads and businesses.
