Police are asking for information about a driver who fled after a collision Tuesday afternoon at Haleakala Highway and Old Haleakala Highway in Pukalani.
The crash occurred at 5:33 p.m. when a 2016 Chrysler 200 sedan that was heading downhill on Old Haleakala Highway didn't stop at the intersection with Haleakala Highway and drove into the mauka-bound lane, police said.
The sedan collided into a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling in the inner mauka-bound lane, police said.
A 2006 Jeep Liberty sport utility vehicle that was heading downhill sustained damages from debris from the collision, police said.
The male driving the sedan ran, police said, and his identity was unknown.
A 71-year-old Makawao man driving the pickup was treated by medics and refused transport to Maui Memorial Medical Center, police said. A 42-year-old Colorado woman driving the sport utility vehicle wasn't injured, police said.
