Some pools to close for lifeguard training

Three Maui County pools will close to the public on Aug. 12 while lifeguards undergo emergency medical response recertification training.

Training will take place at the Kihei Aquatic Center, Wailuku Pool and Cooke Memorial Pool on Molokai, the county said Thursday. All other Maui County pool facilities will remain open.
