Online classes for seniors include painting, exercises

Kaunoa Senior Services will continue virtual classes for seniors ages 55 years and older in September, the county announced Wednesday.

All classes are available online via Zoom and include:

• Fall Prevention at 9 a.m. on Sept. 6.

• Flower Watercolor Painting Series, at 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 6-27, Oct. 11 and 18.

• How to Make it: Cauliflower Ceviche demonstration at 1 p.m. on Sept. 23.

• Move It Monday! at 8 a.m. on Mondays, September 12-26 (also available in person at the West Maui Senior Center).

• Stretching at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 6-27.

• Yoga -- Level 1 at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 6-27.

• Interval Training at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 7-28 and Fridays, Sept. 2-30.

• Strength Training at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 7-28.

• Low-Impact Aerobics at 9 a.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 1-29.

• Strength & Conditioning Exercises at 10 a.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 1-29 (also available in person at the West Maui Senior Center).

• Range of Motion Exercises at 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 1-29 (also available in person at the West Maui Senior Center).

• Bamboo Watercolor Painting at 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 12-26.

• Step-by-Step Acrylic Painting "Makena Moon" at 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 and 28.

• Sewing Boxed Corners at 10 a.m. on Sept. 13.

• Introduction to Apple iPhone at 11 a.m. on Sept. 22.

• Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Finances with Alzheimer's Association Hawaii Chapter at 3 p.m. on Sept. 28. To register, visit tinyurl.com/ AUG28Kaunoa.

Signed waivers are required for all exercise classes. For Zoom, participants will need internet connection, a laptop or desktop computer, smartphone or tablet with built-in microphone, camera and speakers. (Attached speakers may be required depending on the device.)
