Bissen to hold forum in Kihei

Mayoral candidate Richard Bissen will host his next “Collective Kuleana Ohana Forum” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Kihei.

The forums allow residents to come together and share their input with subject matter advocates, experts and facilitators.

The events are free, and food is included.

Thursday’s forum will be held at the Kihei Community Center, located at 303 E. Lipoa St.

Ohana candidates to lead panel discussions

Maui Ohana candidates will discuss major community issues during a town hall meeting at the Kihei Community Center on Saturday.

The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. with movies on issues affecting the community. Free popcorn and snacks will be provided.

Panel discussions and presenters will include:

• Flooding and remedies: Robin Knox, 6:35 p.m.

• Development that aligns with our community: Noelani Ahia, Angus McKelvey and Terez Amato, 6:45 p.m.

• Foreign control of our water, 7:15 p.m.

• Charter amendments and rewiring local governance: Nara Boone, Jordan Hocker, 8:15 p.m.

The Kihei Community Center is located at 303 E. Lipoa St.
