Candidates to present at Lahaina town hall
Candidates will discuss challenges and solutions for affordable housing, the Lahaina bypass and foreign control of Maui County's water during a town hall meeting in Lahaina on Thursday evening.
The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with movies, followed by the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Presenters will include Maui County Council candidates Noelani Ahia, Gabe Johnson and Robin Knox, as well as Democratic state legislative candidates Elle Cochran and Angus McKelvey.
Free snacks and beverages will be provided.
The town hall will take place at the Lahaina Civic Center at 1840 Honoapiilani Highway.

Nikhilananda to appear on PBS
Nick Nikhilananda, Green Party candidate for the state House of Representatives' District 13, will be a guest on the weekly public TV news and public affairs program, "Insights on PBS Hawaii," from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nikhilananda's campaign announced.
Insights is a public affairs forum televised statewide and streamed live and features candidates or public officials discussing major issues in the community.
Thursday's program will focus on Oahu's state House District 36 and Maui County's state House District 13, which also includes Democratic candidate Mahina Poepoe and Republican candidate Adam Clark.
