Police traffic officers will continue intoxication checkpoints throughout Maui County through the end of the year, as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

Motorists can expect police to take a zero-tolerance approach to impaired driving, according to a Maui Police Department news release.

“Our goal is to promote voluntary compliance with all traffic laws and reduce motor vehicle crashes on our roadways,” the news release says.
