Maui Clinic Pharmacy moves to new location

2 min read

After nearly 34 years, Maui Clinic Pharmacy has moved from its Puunene Avenue location to the other side of Maui Mall Village along Hana Highway.

Owner Les Krenk said he is now paying about half the rent he did at his old place, which was $12,000 a month, and also has a little more room to boot in his new location at 22 Hana Highway near Whole Foods at Maui Mall Village.

The new pharmacy location, which opened for customers around mid-March, has more space to accommodate more merchandise.

"We have plenty of things to put outside the pharmacy that we had in the back of the (old) pharmacy," he said on Tuesday morning.

He said the pharmacy has all types of wound care products, potentially more than the big box stores have -- in addition to the regular bandages, he has tapes and special dressings, along with ointments.

He added that he has products for those who bruise a lot, especially senior citizens. Krenk joked that since he's older, "that's the reason we got this stuff."

The independent pharmacist currently has just one pharmacy in operation as his other pharmacy, Makawao Town Pharmacy, was damaged from a fire in January that also burned Krank Cycles.

Maui Clinic Pharmacy offers immunizations and also does deliveries.

Entry to the new location is via Hana Highway or near the Whole Foods parking lot at the Maui Mall.
