Lahaina Jodo Mission will celebrate its first public Obon Festival since the pandemic on July 1.
The Obon service will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a floating lanterns procession and ceremony around 7:30 p.m.
Maui Taiko will offer a performance in the temple courtyard before the bon dance, which will start around 8 p.m.
Food concessions will open at 5:30 p.m. with local favorites including rolled sushi, chow fun, teriyaki beef plate, shave ice and more.
Kids game concessions will also be open. The event is open to the public.
