Kaiser offers new mental health hotline
Kaiser Permanente has added new medical services, including a mental health hotline and free flu shots, to help residents impacted by the Aug. 8 wildfires.
The new hotline is staffed by trained providers who can connect those in need to in-person counseling, emotional support, helpful information and links to resources, according to a Kaiser news release Thursday. The services are confidential, free and available to anyone affected by the fires. To reach the hotline, call (808) 446-6676 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Immediate resources for mental health and addiction crisis support are available by calling the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at (800) 273-TALK (8255), or by texting “HOME” to the Crisis Text Line at 741741.
On Thursday, Kaiser also began offering free flu shots at its two mobile health vehicles at Napili Park and the Royal Lahaina Hotel, as well as its first aid station at the Hyatt Regency, Maui Suites, Promenade Lower Level. These locations serve anyone in the community needing medical assistance from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
