Join the Friends of Haleakala National Park for a morning of service on Tuesday, April 2, at the park's plant nursery in the Summit District of Haleakala National Park, from 9:00 am to noon. Volunteers help with preparation and propagation of native plants and sometimes do cataloging in the adjacent museum.
Participants should bring water, snacks, and their own gloves if desired. The park will provide other tools. Wear sturdy shoes, and in case of out planting work, bring a hat and sunscreen.
This activity is held on the first Tuesday of each month. Volunteers can drive up to the work location at the greenhouse/maintenance area. Reservations are required. Visit https://www.fhnp.org/service.html, and scroll down to Monthly One-day Nursery Service Events. Then click the link to reserve on the desired date.
