Oleander Hawk Moth a Kihei clinger

An Oleander Hawk Moth clings to a bird of paradise leaf recently in Kihei. The non-native species is believed to have arrived to Hawaii in the 1970s. Adult Oleander Hawk Moths have a wingspan of nearly four inches. The caterpillars are bright green and feed on oleander leaves.
