Meeting covering the rebuilding of Kamehameha III Elementary set for Nov. 19
Meeting covering site selection for rebuilding Kamehameha III Elementary set for Nov. 19
An upcoming meeting for King Kamehameha III to talk about next steps for the school’s rebuild will be at 5 p.m. Nov. 19 in the cafeteria of the King Kamehameha III Elementary School temporary site at Pulelehua, 100 Akahele St.
The goal of the meeting is to share new information about a proposed rebuilding site under consideration and ask the community for feedback on the permanent King Kamehameha III campus.
The meeting agenda includes presentations by the Department of Education on a newly identified location near Lahaina, as well as time for community feedback and a question-and-answer session.
Meeting organizers will provide each attendee with a feedback form to ensure every person has the opportunity to give feedback despite the limited time in the meeting room.
Recordings of the session will be made available after the meeting, as well as a digital version of the feedback form, so that community members will be able to send feedback even if they were unable to attend the meeting.
The form for this meeting will remain open for feedback through Dec. 3. Bentos will be provided during the meeting. To register to attend the meeting, go to bit.ly/KKIII-site.
