The Westin Maui opens new 10,000-square-foot arcade space
The Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Kāʻanapali has opened The Valley Alley, a new 10,000-square-foot arcade space on lobby level of the resort’s newly renovated Kūkahi Tower.
According to the resort, its new entertainment hub is part of a multi-year, $160 million transformation and adds another attraction to the resort’s amenities and guest programming.
“The opening of The Valley Alley is the culmination of Westin Maui’s transformation, which began with the debut of the Hōkūpaʻa Tower, adding a luxury accommodations option in Kāʻanapali,” general manager Josh Hargrove said in a statement. “This new, exciting chapter for our resort positions us to welcome families of varying ages and interests as we truly do have something for everyone — whether its beach activities, pool relaxation, rejuvenating spa treatments, cultural experiences, world-class dining, and now a pioneering entertainment center, all with brand new accommodations.”
The name is meant to be a nod to Maui’s nickname as “the Valley Isle,” and the new space features a variety of entertainment for all ages with high-tech golf simulators, a miniaturized variation of bowling and a wide selection of arcade games. Anchoring the space is an expansive bar and lounge.
Hargrove added that the new arcade area is also a space for the local community.
The Valley Alley is open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. It also offers two-hour to four-hour buyouts of the venue for things such as corporate events, family reunions and other parties and celebrations.
