The Maui Hotel and Lodging Association has restructured its leadership team with a number of newly appointed executives including a newly created position and newly created committees.

John Pele, a former candidate for county council, has been appointed to the executive director’s position and is now a registered lobbyist for MHLA. After four months of acting as interim executive director, Naomi Cooper has been appointed to the first-ever, deputy director’s position. Also, Angela Doran was appointed as the manager of Events and Membership and will be coordinating the 2025 annual Maui County Charity Walk.
