Voting is now open for the NÄ“nÄ” Award honoring crown HawaiÊ»i’s favorite children’s books.

Every spring, fourth through sixth graders across the state get to choose the best chapter book and graphic novel from a list of 30 nominees, available at neneaward.org/nominees.html.

The nominees were selected by a committee and people may vote for their favorite books at their local library. Readers are encouraged to consider the book’s appeal, plot, characters, style and theme.
