Residents are encouraged to participate in a community survey regarding an art project slated for the intersection of Kenolio Road and Alulike Street in Kihei.
The survey aims to gather input on visual preferences and themes to help inform the first draft design of a street art project located in the Kaʻonoʻulu Ahupuaʻa in the Moku of Kula, according to traditional Hawaiian land divisions. Historically, the area was rich in natural resources like natural pools, wetlands, streams, and fishponds that supported both royalty and commoners that relied on marine resources.
Through this survey, organizers hope to incorporate community perspectives into the street art design process to highlight the area's unique history and identity. Provide your input by answering several questions. Find the survey online at surveymonkey.com/r/DMQYGJK.
