Maui County Council member Thomas Cook will host a South Maui community townhall at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Malcolm Center.

During the meeting, Cook will provide updates on what’s being done to address the impacts of recent inclement weather in South Maui. The gathering will offer residents a chance to voice their concerns and gain information about the progress of flood-prevention measures in the area.

Cook is encouraging residents to email his office at Thomas.Cook@mauicounty.us to assist with the headcount for the townhall. The Malcolm Center is at 1305 N. Holopono St., Ste. 5. in Kihei.
