Maui Brewing Co. has launched a new line of spirits-based cocktails Maui Island Spirits that comes in two flavors -- pineapple and mango.

According to the company, the drinks are made with vodka, cane sugar and natural flavors and register at 4.5% alcohol with 100 calories and 5 grams of sugar per 12 ounce can.

Maui Brewing Co. says customers can expect to see a variety pack with additional flavors later this year.

"Our R&D team worked hard on the Maui Island Spirits product line to develop these Hawaii-inspired flavors, and we are thrilled with how it turned out," said Jen Hopkins, QA Lead, in a news release. "They're bursting with tropical flavor and will transport you right to the beach."

Both mangos and pineapples are grown in Hawaii, though neither fruit is indigenous to the islands.

The company says it is looking to further build up its lineup of products after sales of Maui Hard Seltzer have grown more than 26% year-to-date.

Additionally, the company reports strong growth across its beverage portfolio with Maui Brewing Co. beer up more than 12% and Island Sodas rising 16%, and Maui Island Hard Tea and Island Sodas is scheduled launch in select markets in the coming weeks.

Maui Island Spirits are available in six packs at select Hawai'i retailers, including Maui Brewing Co. restaurants.

"We have been working to craft a beverage for this fast-growing category for quite some time and I couldn’t be prouder of what our team has created. All of the flavors are fantastic and taste better than mainstream options," CEO Garrett Marrero said in the release. "We are excited to launch the first local Hawai'i alternative to imported beverages in the vodka soda category."
