Camp Imua is now accepting applications for volunteer counselors for its 2025 session June 7-12 in Ke'anae.

Camp Imua is a week-long overnight summer camp that pairs children with special needs with volunteers ages 16-21 for a week of activities such as beach outings, helicopter rides, horseback riding, dance parties and more.

"Camp Imua counselors are an integral part of the overall camp experience," said Darris Hurst, events and programs coordinator. "They help guide our special needs campers through the week and make each activity memorable."

All volunteer counselors receive training in everything from safety protocols and camper care to communication skills and team-building activities.

Run by nonprofit Imua Family Services, Camp Imua is fully staffed by trained professionals, nurses, and coordinators to ensure a safe and enriching environment for all participants. Applications are open now for youth ages 16-21. Space is limited, and spots fill quickly. For more, https://discoverimua.com/camp .
