On Friday, two students from Seabury Hall signed national letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level.

Micah Brighton and Bromo Dorn were honored during an assembly attended by classmates, faculty, coaches, friends and family as the pair signed their letters.

According to the school, Brighton, a standout in cross country and track, will attend Pepperdine University, where he will compete with the men’s track and field team with the potential to join the cross country team.

Dorn will attend Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma, and play for the men’s basketball team.

Dorn capped off his Seabury Hall career by leading the Spartans to their first-ever boys basketball state title in February. He was named the Division II State Tournament Player of the Tournament, a two-time First Team All-State selection, 2025 MaxPreps Hawaiʻi High School Player of the Year, and earned the prestigious 2024-25 Hawaiʻi Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year award.

A three-time Maui Interscholastic League Runner of the Year, Brighton helped lead Seabury to the Division II state championship in 2023 and a runner-up finish in 2024.

He has consistently placed among the top runners in the state and has represented Seabury Hall in elite competitions across the country. His high school track career culminates this weekend at the HHSAA State Championships on Hawaiʻi Island where he is qualified to compete in the 1500 meter and 3000 meter events.

“Competing at the next level is not just about talent — it’s about the drive, character and relentless work ethic that drive success,” said Yaya Meyer, Seabury’s director of athletics. “These two student-athletes embody those values and have earned the opportunity to represent Seabury Hall beyond high school.”

Meyer added that Dorn and Brighton have left an incredible legacy at Seabury Hall, with their leadership, commitment and teamwork embodying what it means to be a Spartan.

“We can’t wait to see what they accomplish at the next level — and beyond,” Meyer said.
