Richard E. Mitchell

Richard E. Mitchell, the first director of the Maui County Department of Housing, will be the Rotary Club of Kahului’s featured speaker from noon to 1 p.m. June 16 at Tante’s Island Cuisine at the Maui Seaside Hotel.

During the Rotary meeting, Mitchell will share insights into the county’s efforts to address the need for affordable and workforce housing in Maui. He will also reflect on how his personal and professional journey — spanning architecture, urban redevelopment, legal advocacy and public service — continues to inform his vision for creating resilient, inclusive communities across the island.
