Maude Cumming, chief executive officer of Family Life Center, will be the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of Kahului's meeting from noon to 1 p.m. June 30 at Tante's Island Cuisine at the Maui Seaside Hotel. The public is welcome.
Cumming will speak about the development and impact of 'Ohana Hope Village, a new interim housing community of 88 homes designed to support survivors of the 2023 wildfires.
Cumming has served the Maui community for over 40 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences and psychology from Oral Roberts University and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawai'i.
Cumming is the chair of the Maui Homeless Alliance and has also served as chair of the Bridging the Gap Continuum of Care.
