The Lahaina Cannery is taking food trucks where they’ve never gone before — inside and ready to roll.

According to organizers, the grand opening of the indoor food truck experience will be Friday. To celebrate, Lahaina Cannery is hosting a free community event from 4-7 p.m. with

a full schedule of entertainment, giveaways and cultural activities for all ages.

A blessing ceremony is scheduled at 4 p.m. Beginning at 5 p.m., there will be a performance by Napua Silva and Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka o Uka and live music by Nuff Sedd.

Cultural crafts will be offered throughout the event. Local vendors will also be participating. There will also be featured food trucks and grand opening specials, and other vendors will be offering special deals as well.

The Dining Lot offers an air-conditioned, casual dining space featuring a handpicked lineup of local food vendors. Guests are also encouraged to explore the wide variety of stores and services at Lahaina Cannery.

Lahaina Cannery is open daily from 9:30 a.m.- 7 p.m. It features a mix of island boutiques, everyday conveniences, and local eateries, all in the central Lahaina Location. For more, go to www.lahainacannery.com.
