Hawaii is under a tsunami watch following an earthquake off the eastern coast of Russia on Tuesday.

The watch was issued at 1:33 p.m. by the National Weather Service Tsunami Warning Center. Officials have not yet determined if there is a threat to Hawaii. The earthquake occurred off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.

The NWS said the earliest estimated arrival for the first tsunami wave in Hawaii would be 7:17 p.m. Tuesday. Updates will be provided when they are available.
