According to a news release, all Maui County offices, facilities and services will be closed or have modified hours Aug.15, Statehood Day. The closures include all county pools, the Lahaina Resource Center at Lahaina Gateway, the recovery permit center at the Maui County service center in Kahului.

Other closures include, Kākoʻo Maui Relief and Aid Services Center at Maui Mall Village in Kahului and the landfills Hāna, Molokai and Lanai.

The modified schedule includes holiday hours 6 a.m. to noon for the Central Maui Landfill and Maui EKO Compost, and from 8 a.m.- noon for Olowalu Recycling & Refuse Convenience Center.

Residential trash pick-up and the Maui Bus will have regular hours.

County offices and regular services will resume Aug. 18.
