The Rotary Club of Kahului donated more than $4,000 to Kahului Elementary and Lihikai Elementary as part of the club’s annual school supply drive for teachers initiative.

According to organizers, for the past eight years, the Rotary Club of Kahului has donated teacher-focused school supplies to Lihikai Elementary, helping educators stock their classrooms with much needed essentials.

This year, the program expanded to include Kahului Elementary.

“Every year, our teachers go above and beyond, often purchasing supplies out of their own pockets to make sure students have what they need to succeed,” said Gary Albitz, president of the club.
