Melissa Eisenhart, the executive director of Ohana Strong, will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea on Aug. 13.

Eisenhart will speak from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m at Kihei Lutheran Church, 220 Moi Place, in a presentation title “Kids grow. Clothes don’t.”

According to a news release, families with young children spend an average of up to 20% of their total budget on clothing and sports equipment per child, per year. Keeping children in clothing that fits can be costly because children often outgrow clothing quickly.

Ohana Strong collects new and gently used clothing, shoes, baby items, and enrichments, then distributes them at no charge.
