Maui County property tax payment due by Aug. 20

The first installment of real property taxes for fiscal year 2025-26 is due by Aug. 20.

According to a reminder from Maui County officials, different payment options are available. Tax bills have been mailed to all property owners or their agents, according to the county’s finance department.

If a property owner did not receive a bill, they can call collections at (808) 270-7697. According to the county, not receiving a bill will not prevent the assessment of penalties or interest charges due to late payments. Real property taxpayers who don’t pay the full amount due by Aug. 20 will be charged a one-time 10% penalty and a monthly 1% interest on the unpaid balance until it’s paid.
