Procession and memorial service to honor Officer Suzanne O

The Maui Police Department, in partnership with the family of Officer Suzanne O, will hold a procession and memorial service honoring her life and service on Friday, Aug. 29.
The procession will begin at Nakamura’s Mortuary and proceed as follows:
• Mauka on Lower Main Street to Waiale Road.
• Right on Wells Street.
• Right on Kinipopo Street.
• Right on Ka’ahumanu Avenue.
• Right on Maui Lani Parkway.
• Left on Mahalani Street.
• Right on Ka’ahumanu Avenue.
• Left on Wahine Pio Avenue to the main entrance of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
Businesses and members of the public are welcome to line the route and pay their respects as Officer O is escorted to her memorial service.
Traffic delays are expected along the route.
The memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m. the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in the Castle Theater Doors will open at 9 a.m.
Public seating will be available if space permits.
Parking is available at UH Maui College and Keōpūolani Park. Sheriff Division personnel will be stationed at each entrance. No parking will be allowed on the Maui Arts & Cultural Center grounds.
Audio of the ceremony will be broadcast to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center lawn area.

The End of Watch roll call (via patrol car), the three-volley salute and flower drop will take place outside of the theater.
