The Maui Humane Society is inviting the public to participate in the voting phase of its 2026 calendar contest featuring Maui’s police officers, firefighters, lifeguards and animal control officers with pets and shelter animals.

For $1 per vote, the fundraiser raises funds to support the shelter’s work. Voting ends Sept. 7. Each vote directly benefits shelter animals in need.

The 2026 calendar will feature black and white portraits of pets photographed with public safety personnel. The 12 photos with the most votes will appear in the final printed calendar.

Votes can be cast at mauihumanesociety.org/2026calendar.

In less than one week, organizers report that nearly 19,000 votes have already been cast.
