Gas prices stable in Hawaii

Hawaii gas prices remained stable for those taking Labor Day weekend trips, according to AAA Hawaii.

As of Sept. 4, the statewide average price for unleaded gas was $4.47, which is the same as last week and 18 cents lower than this time last year. However, Hawaii remains well above the average national price of $3.20.

The average price in Kahului was $4.48, which is two cents lower than last week and 26 cents lower than a year ago.
