Live music, hula, comedy on tap for Maui County Fair on Oct. 2-5

Four days of live music, hula and comedy by local performers will be part of the entertainment lineup for the Maui County Fair from Oct. 2-5 at the War Memorial Special Events Complex in Wailuku.

Presale tickets are available at three locations including Restaurant Matsu at 161 Alamaha St. in Kahului, West Maui Sports and Fishing Supply at 3445 Lower Honoapiilani Road in Lahaina and Maui Historical Society at the Bailey House at 2375 Main St. in Wailuku.

Admission is $10 for adults (ages 12 and up), $5 for children ages 5-11 and free for keiki ages 4 and under.

The entertainment will kick off after the opening parade Oct. 2. The entertainment will include Hālau o ka Hanu Lehua with Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona at 6 p.m., Wehilei at 7:30 p.m. and ‘Āinaty at 9 p.m. on Oct. 2.

On Oct. 3, Jordan Soon will perform at 6 p.m., followed by Kalani Pe’a at 7:30 p.m. and a Fiji Tribute featuring Damon Williams, Pi’ilani Arias, Loeka Longakit and friends at 9 p.m.

On Oct. 4, Kaina Kountry will play at 12:30 p.m., followed by Hawaiian Airlines Serenaders at 2 p.m., Mikey Mina at 3:30 p.m., Da Braddahs at 5 p.m., Hawaiian Time at 6:30 p.m., Ka’ikena Scanlan at 8 p.m. and Redmelo at 9:30 p.m.

The entertain will start Oct. 5 with Mark Yamanaka at 12:30 p.m., Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka O Uka with Kumu Hula Nāpua Silva at 2 p.m., Ku’uipo Kumukahi at 3:30 p.m., Keali’i Reichel and Hālau Ke’alaokamaile with Nā Kumu Hula Kealiʻi Reichel and Henohea Kāne at 5 p.m. and Nā Leo Pilimehana at 6:30 p.m. Nuff Sedd will close out the music at 8 p.m. Oct. 5.
