Aloha Kakou! My name is Kira, and I’m Maui Humane Society’s Pet of the Week! I came to Maui Humane Society back in April with over 20 of my doggy pals. When I first arrived, I was so shy and scared. Everything was brand new to me. People, sounds, smells, leashes, collars, even cars. It all felt overwhelming. But with gentle love and patience from the amazing MHS team, I’ve blossomed so much over the past 5 months! Now I enjoy walks, playing with toys, and running around with zoomies. I especially love playing with my brother, Usher, and getting butt scratches from my favorite people! I’m still a little shy when meeting new friends, but with kindness and patience, I know I’ll keep growing braver every day! I’m ready to find a loving ohana who can continue to help me see how wonderful the world truly is!
