ACLU: Hawaii designated ‘anchor state’ for ‘No Dictators’ protest on Oct. 18
On Oct. 18, the ACLU of Hawaii and national and local partners will be organizing protests against U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, including events on Maui and Oahu.
Organizers of the rallies say they seek to build on momentum from June’s nationwide day-of-action, which saw more than 5 million people take to the streets to condemn the Trump administration.
According to the ACLU of Hawaii, more than 2,300 events are set to take place in cities across the country.
A flyer distributed by Maui Indivisible says a local “No Dictators” rally will be from 4:30-6 p.m. in front of the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului.
