Citing technical issues with the distribution of the meeting’s agenda, the Maui County Board of Ethics has canceled its meeting scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.

According to Board of Ethics Executive Director Legal Counsel Lauren Akitake, automated email notifications were not sent when the meeting agenda was posted as required by law.

Akita said the board’s staff are working with the agenda distribution vendor to prevent similar issues in the future and thanked the public for its patience.

The next scheduled Board of Ethics meeting is Oct. 22.
