To celebrate the heart and talent of the community, the 98th Maui County Fair featured a diverse lineup of competitions.
According to the county, more than 175 children were entered in the popular Baby of the Year contest, and 50 of them were preselected to debut on the fairgrounds’ main stage.
First-place honors for 2025 Baby of the Year went to Kililau Rodrigues, whose parents are Lindsay and Kely Rodrigues.
Hope Akiko Fukushima, whose parents are Clinton and Serena Fukushima, won second place, and Maylee Maxwell, whose parents are Charles Maxwell and Mindy Montalvo, took third.
In addition to the Baby of the Year contest, exhibits for student art, student horticulture, fiber arts and orchids were on display at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center.
The livestock and poultry competition was held in a fairgrounds tent near War Memorial Stadium. The e-sports competition featured the game Mario Kart World Tournament at the Baldwin High School Gym.
