Maui invited to celebrate Birth of Bahá’u’lláh

The Bahá’í community of Maui will gather in celebration of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’í Faith, on Oct. 23.

According to event organizers, Bahá’u’lláh’s name means “the Glory of God,” and he was born in 1817 in Tehran. His teachings call for the oneness of humanity, the unity of all religions, the equality of women and men, and the establishment of peace and justice. The Birth of Bahá’u’lláh is one of the most sacred days in the Bahá’í calendar.

The celebration, which is open to the community, will include music, devotions, refreshments and fellowship, reflecting the spirit of love and inclusivity at the heart of Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings. For more information including the event location call (808) 740-2280.
