On Sunday, The Shops at Wailea welcomed families for its annual Halloween celebration, which drew more than a 1,000 people and culminated in a costume contest.

The winners were as follows:

• Grand Prize — Cayman and Tania Woessner as Predator and Spawn

• First Place Ohana — The Koko family of Xander, Cyrus, Sachi and Kapri Aiwohi for their Pirates of the Caribbean ship.

• First Place Keiki 0-2 — Luca Springer as Hulk

• First Place Keiki 3-5 — Koah Rodriguez-Lomboy as alien spaceship

• First Place Keiki 6-10 — Ember Rego as Seymore, the Little Shops of Horror venus flytrap

• First Place Pets — Ani as the Mad Hatter. Ani’s owner is Gail Kauhola.
