Gas prices across Hawaii have fallen to their lowest levels of 2025, mirroring a national trend, according to AAA Hawaii.

On Thursday, the statewide average price for regular unleaded was $4.43, down 1 cent from last week and 11 cents lower than a year ago. The national average was $2.89, a decrease of 5 cents from last week and 14 cents from a year ago.

On Maui, the average price in Kahului was $4.46, up 2 cents from last week but down 12 cents from a year ago.

AAA projects a record 22.2 million residents of Pacific states will travel during the upcoming holiday period, with Hawaii among the top U.S. destinations.
