The monthly test of the Statewide Outdoor Warning Siren System will be at 11:45 a.m. Jan. 2.

During the test, all state warning sirens will sound a one-minute steady tone. A test of the Live Audio Broadcast segment of the Emergency Alert System will be conducted at roughly the same time.

The warning system is used to notify the public during emergencies. If you hear the sirens in circumstances other than a test, you should follow emergency information and instructions.
