Maui County offices, facilities and services will be closed or modified Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Closures include all county offices and county pools, the Lahaina Resource Center at Lahaina Gateway, the Recovery Permit Center at the County of Maui Service Center in Kahului and Kākoʻo Maui Relief & Aid Services Center at Maui Mall Village in Kahului (Hoʻokumu Hou applications).

The Hana, Molokai and Lanai landfills will also be closed. There will be condensed hours from 6 a.m. to noon for the Central Maui Landfill, Maui EKO Compost and Olowalu Recycling & Refuse Convenience Center.

Residential trash pickup and the Maui Bus schedule will not be affected. The county will return to regular business hours on Jan. 20.
