Haleakala National Park announces temporary closures of visitor centers

Due to planned remodeling, Haleakala National Park will close two of its visitors centers.

The headquarter’s visitor center one mile past the entrance will be closed from noon Feb. 16 until Feb. 28.

Additionally, the visitors center at the summit will be closed from Feb. 19 to April 10.

Access to both restrooms will remain open.

The Kipahulu district visitor center will also remain open throughout the remodeling work.
