New and returning officers and board members of the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce convened Saturday to reaffirm the organization’s mission, reassess priorities and set renewed goals.
The chamber said it is working to streamline its programming and build stronger member engagement and long-term capacity. Also, Grace Sales, an entrepreneur and real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty Maui, has been named the organization’s president.
According to the organization, Sales was a business nominee for the 2025 annual Mayor’s Small Business Awards and holds a Master of Laws from Stockholm University in Sweden. Sales previously interned at the United Nations Secretariat in New York, and she owns a MoneyGram branch and a travel agency.

“I look forward to making the chamber more visible and growing membership,” Sales said in a news release. “Filipinos make up approximately 47,000 residents in Maui County, nearly 28% of the island’s population. This number reminds us that we are not just a community — we are a force for positive change, growth and opportunity.”
The 2026 leadership team for the Filipino chamber also includes Vice President Christian Galapon, Secretary Massy Cashen-Suguitan, Treasurer Wayne Aguiran and Immediate Past President Dominic Suguitan.
The directors are Virgilio “Leo” Agcolicol, Jared Sam Agtunong, Sharon Zalsos-Banaag, Len Gonzales, Glenn Casil, Kit Zulueta Furukawa, Chris Rabang and Jorge Tirona.
To encourage membership, the chamber is allowing new members to join for $50 by using the discount code “amazinggrace” at mauifilipinochamber.com through March 30.
