Hawaiian Electric: About 40 customers in Maui County still without power

Hawaiian Electric reported that there were about 40 customers without power in Maui County as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Hawaiian Electric said it had completed most of its power restoration work as the state continues to recover from back-to-back storm systems.

About 180 customers on Oahu and 1,200 on Hawaii Island, mainly in Puna and South Hilo, also remained without power Tuesday.

Customers can track current outages on the outage maps at hawaiianelectric.com and on the mobile app.

People can report outages and downed or low hanging power lines in Maui County by calling 1-855-304-8181.
