Runners who take off at the start of the 56th annual Maui Marathon’s half marathon on April 26 will be trekking alongside one of the most accomplished American marathoners of the past decade.
According to race organizers, elite distance runner Jordan Hogan will be participating in a number of events throughout the week of the 2026 Maui Marathon, beginning with a community group run hosted by the Valley Isle Road Runners at 5:30 p.m. April 22 at Kalama Park in Kihei.
Hogan will also appear at meet-and-greet sessions during the Maui Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa on April 24 and 25. Parking is free for up to an hour. After that, standard rates will apply.
On April 25, Hogan will participate in the official Maui Marathon shakeout run for registered participants at 6:30 a.m.
Hogan was a standout collegiate athlete at the University of Oregon and an 18-time All-American. In 2017, she finished the 26.2-mile Chicago Marathon with one of the fastest times in history for an American woman, coming in at 2 hours, 20 minutes and 57 seconds.
While Hogan has stepped away from full-time competition and training in the past year to have her first child, she is planning to run in the Maui Marathon’s half marathon as her first race post-partum.
