Hale Kau Kau (House of Meals) delivered 111 meals to the Kihei Shelter during the recent kona low storms that created widespread flooding and storm-related damage across Maui County, and the Maui Rescue Mission also provided 100 meals.

Hale Kau Kau continues to deliver daily meals to kupuna and those with disabilities every day, and offers meals every night at Saint Theresa Church to anyone facing food insecurity.

In March, the nonprofit reported that it delivered 3,306 meals and served 2,346 more throughout the month.

The nonprofit’s Saint Patrick’s Day Fundraiser, which was postponed twice, was held March 26, and the effort helped raise thousands of dollars Hale Kau Kau. There is also an ongoing online auction at 32auctions.com/halekaukau2026 that ends on April 24.
