Krank Cycles Maui to deliver bikes, repairs support to Molokai keiki after flooding

In response to recent severe flooding on Molokai, Krank Cycles Maui is mobilizing its team and resources to support local families and keiki through a large-scale bike giveaway and community service initiative at the Molokai Keiki Fest on April 25.

The Maui-based shop will bring its mobile repair unit, known as the “Hawaii Bike Mission,” to provide free bikes and repairs. Krank will also host a youth bike rodeo and distribute helmets and safety gear to children in need.

“This is about showing up when it matters most,” said Aaron “Moose” Reichert, owner of Krank Cycles Maui. “After everything our communities have faced — from the Lahaina fires to now flooding on Molokai — our keiki need support, connection, and something positive. A bike can be a powerful tool for healing, confidence, and freedom.”

The recent flooding has left many Molokai families dealing with damage and disruption, and Krank Cycles Maui is calling on the broader community — locally and nationwide — to help expand the reach of its initiative.

The organization is seeking donations of bikes in good working condition as well as financial contributions to purchase new bikes. Donations can be made at gofund.me/63ab353c0.

.”All funds go directly toward putting bikes into the hands of kids,” Reichert said. “If someone doesn’t have a bike to donate, even a small contribution can help us get one more kid riding.”

The Molokai Keiki Fest aims not only to meet immediate needs but also to provide a positive, uplifting experience for children during a challenging time.

Starting at $4.80/week.
