Hawaii gas prices rise slightly over past week
Average gasoline prices in Hawaii increased 2.3 cents per gallon over the past week, reaching $5.62 per gallon, according to a GasBuddy survey of 355 stations statewide.
Despite the increase last week, prices were 4.2 cents lower than a month ago but remained $1.21 higher than at the same time last year.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell by 1 cent over the past week to $4.47 per gallon. The national average is 45.2 cents higher than a month ago and $1.33 above prices recorded a year earlier.
